Use These Better Words to Sound More Fluent!
Do you always say “good”? It’s correct, but native English speakers use many other words to express how something is good — depending on the situation. Let’s level up your vocabulary!
1. Instead of «Good Job»
❌ Good job!
✅ Try:
- Well done! → Well done on your exam!
- Nice work! → Nice work on the project.
- Great effort! → That was a great effort, keep going!
- You nailed it! (Informal) → Wow, you nailed that presentation!
2. Instead of «Good Food»
❌ The food was good.
✅ Try:
- Delicious → That pasta was delicious!

- Flavourful → The soup was so flavourful.
- Yummy (Informal) → This cake is yummy!
