Speak Like a Native with Better Vocabulary!

Do you always say «nice» when you like something?
“That’s a nice dress.”
“She’s a nice person.”
“This is a nice place.”

It’s correct, but if you want to sound more fluent, interesting, and expressive, it’s time to learn some better words!

1. Talking about a person

❌ She’s a nice person.
✅ Try:

  • Kind (amable) → She’s a really kind person.
  • Friendly (simpática) → Everyone likes him – he’s super friendly.
  • Caring (cuidadosa) → She’s caring and always helps others.
  • Lovely (encantadora) → You’ll love her – she’s lovely!
2. Talking about a place

❌ It’s a nice place.
✅ Try:

  • Beautiful (hermoso) → This is a beautiful beach.
  • Charming (encantador) → We stayed in a charming little village.
  • Cosy (acogedor) → The café was small but really cosy.
  • Peaceful (tranquilo) → I love how peaceful it is here.
3. Talking about food

❌ That was a nice meal.
✅ Try:

  • Delicious (delicioso) → The cake was delicious!
  • Tasty (sabroso) → This pasta is so tasty.
  • Yummy (rico – informal) → Mmm, that’s yummy!
  • Mouth-watering (que hace la boca agua) → What a mouth-watering dish!
4. Talking about the weather

❌ It’s a nice day.
✅ Try:

  • Sunny (soleado) → It’s so sunny today!
  • Warm (cálido) → I love this warm weather.
  • Perfect → The weather is perfect for a picnic.
  • Glorious → What a glorious day!
